Lokythar, city of Thieves

A place where the hand is laid to rest

Lokythar, the country of your kind.

Once upon a time, during an execution of a famous thief, the old emperor asked if he had anything to atone, so that his soul could be received by the mighty Kelemvor. The thief solemnly sang the small poem that would deliver the legend of the country of Outlaws, somewhere hidden deep in Hom: Lokythar. After that, many thieves tried to find this land of paradise, but there was never a record to be found, and many lost their lives and disappeared on their quest. The Empires of Man also tried to get the hands on this country, since all the treasure from the best thieves around the world would be there, but they never succeeded. Many would ask the question: if Lumeria is real, could this country also be real?

Some thieves disagree on this, but they say that the country was founded 100 years after the disappearance of dragons from Kelem. A great thief of name unknown created this country as a way to fight against the three Empires of Man, but he lost its first and only war, retreating to this mystical country. However, there are no records of this war or lost, so it is just a myth from the beginning of the age.

The tale of Lokythar is told with very different descriptions: one say that it is under a mountain, another says it is a country in the sky, while another says it is cloaked by magic on another dimension. Everyone talks about it, and about its treasure. There are some who say it is the bounty of a million thieves come together; others say it is a country made of jewels, so there is no need of thieving; others say it holds a magical being so powerful that could be used to fight the three Empires at the same time.
