Once a knight sworn to Valor’s crown, he broke his oath during a doomed campaign and refused to follow an unjust order. Branded and mutilated, he was left for dead. He crawled to the cliffs and built the Niche into a place of remembrance for those who falter or refuse. Now, exiles, deserters, and wandering souls find him, and he records their stories in a weathered black tome.
