Demographics
Most of the population is old, although some new generations have arisen, but they lack the traditional foundation and strength that Valor admires.
Government
The King and the Majordomo decide everything and pass to the remaining guilds operating in the Capital.
Trade & Industry
There is some trade with some village near the desert, and Olde Town to the North. Weapon and armor manufacturing is the main asset of this city in specific.
Infrastructure
Most of the buildings are destroyed, but the normal commodities of inns and shops, there are some good ancient guilds still operating, like the Adventurer's Guild Boltstand. There are some workshops near the lake, and big gates that allow the main street to be operational and secure at the same time. The castle is at the center of this circular city, with high towers where the king's vizirs and High Sheriffs work.
You have the Lake District, the Guild District, the Castle District, the Arena, and the Military District.
The Adventurer's Guild Boltstand, the Angry Anvil workshop and company and the Molder workshop for material transformation. The High Sheriffs of Valor have their headquarters here as well.
History
Valeria was the home for the ancient rulers who wanted to preserve the tradition in how humans lived, worked, thrived and fought. Inclined to not use black or nature magic, the city was built under sweat and tears from the many workers that created the Empire of Valor. The main Plaza of the city has two statues, one for the brave soldiers and workers who continuously built the city, and another for a strange winged creature that shines whenever the Sun is at the highest of the day. Many years later, that statue was vandalized, but it still remains to those who visit Valor. Valor established itself as a great manufacturing center, with some of the best human builders and smiths from the Continent. The materials however, were gathered in secret, as the mines of Valor and Valeria are uncharted to those from foreign lands. Nothing can beat Valerian steel, but almost anyone in the city knows how to make it anymore. Today, the city is but a shadow of other times. It is mostly in ruins, although many of its inhabitants still believe that Valor will, once more, regain its status and power from being one in the Human Triad of empires.
Geography
Being close to Grym and its border, could present a challenge, but the river and the forest to the south worked as the perfect protection, since that forest is more savage and dangerous that most places in Hom. With a lake to the Northwest and the roads converging to it, Valeria remains as the gate to the North of the Continent.
During the first three months of the year, the freezing cold is felt. However, most of the days, rain and bright sun decorate the skies of the city.
Natural Resources
One would guess iron and other materials for building and smithing, but no one never found any mines nearby.
